Digital reverb typical parameters

 

1. Reverb Time (seconds): Determines ‘How long E.G. (Envelope Generator)’ is ==> e.g.) 1,2 short, 3 long

 

 

2. Initial Delay (ms): Puts a space between original sound (direct sound) and the start of the reverb

 

 

3. Mix: How much wet sound (verb) vs. Dry sound (original) ==> e.g.) Mostly set for 100% wet

 

 

4. Diffusion (%): Controls how smooth or choppy the reverb is

- Typically choppy verb is used on smooth sounds (e.g. vocal)

- Typically smooth verb is used on choppy sounds (e.g. drums)

 

 

5. Hi-Pass Filter: Reduces reverb bass

    Lo-Pass Filter: Reduces reverb highs

 

 

6. Room size (meters): Changes the size of the artificial room
