[New Artist On Air] Zebrine Releases Electronic Project EP "Fringes"

Italian classically trained pianist and composer “Zebrine” is releasing innovative music as the techno DJ persona, and has demonstrated a constant flow of technical innovations in sound, melodic and harmonic design. His creative flow has now culminated in the latest 2 song electronic project EP, “Fringes” - releasing on the 20th of April. 

 

 

The music has been described by critics as a very deep, dark, underground take on the Tech House sound with rolling, bubbly basslines. The tracks themselves are both about 5 minutes in length and offer a melodic, harmonic and technical exploration of the genres house and techno. This is without sacrificing the use of particular harmonic and rhythmic structures, common throughout the genres in question, which provide a solid musical foundation. The technical aspects of the EP have been labeled as diverse, loose and experimental.

 

 

The tracklist is comprised of “Fringes”, a 123 beats per minute melodic techno, ethnic fusion and “The Vibin’ Wasp”, a 122 beats per minute tech house track comprised of various elements ranging from lush pads to aggressive supersaws.

 

 

“Zebrine” is born in 2002 in the Italian city of Padua where he studies piano and composition at the “Conservatorio Pollini” for 10 years, eventually gaining a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Music at the tender age of 15 years old, a nationwide prodigy. His passion for techno and house music is developed and nurtured by a revolutionary musical scene known as the European techno revival, where his independent studies of sound design progress.
