The Masterclass focuses on compositional mastery, techniques, and skills via analysis of great soundtrack cues and weekly feedback on your original compositions. All scoring assignments are tailored for the film and game industry using actual film, TV, and game videos. Intensive weekly composing (both to picture and not to picture) and weekly feedback on your cues give you a competitive edge and a polished reel, meeting industry standards, that you can submit and adapt for future scoring opportunities. The learning is industry-oriented and personalized.

Penka's Masterclass spans 12 weeks: 10 weekly lectures on Zoom (75 minutes), 10 guided scoring assignments, 10 weekly private mentoring sessions (30-35 minutes), and weekly independent study (score study, reading blogs curated by Penka over 20 years, and more). The class also includes two weeks without lectures, during which Penka will review and polish each mentee's website, music page, demo reels, biography, pitch letter, follow-up emails to film/TV/game professionals, scoring job inquiries, current scoring jobs, and various marketing assets. These weeks also allow the mentees to catch up on composing and revisions.
