1) 2 x Overheads:

- (Reference) Symmetry around Center

- Point at ride cymbal center

- Shotgun mic or Cardioids (Condenser Mics)

-AKG C414 B-XL II (pair) or Neumann KM84 (pair)

 

2) 1 x Kick:

- Put a microphone head into the hole in the kick drum

- Point at beater

- AKG 112

 

3) 2 x Ambience Mics (Room Mics):

- 1 x High Position, 1 x Low Position (point at center)

- Neumann U47

 

4) 2 x Hi-hat:

- Above => AKG C471

- Below => SM57

 

5) 1 x Floor Tom:

- Mic heads points at center

- Senheiser 421 (dynamic Mic) (for Rock music especially)

 

6) 1 x between Hi-Toms

- Shure SM57 or AKG C414

 

7) 1 x Snare:

- SM 57 (setting at close range; point at center)

- 2 inches from rim

- Do Not toward ring (to avoid ring sound)

*SM 57 (standard Mic for snare)

 

 

*Overhead: Stereo image is very important in overhead

*2 x Open Hihat: Audio Technica AT4033
