Signal Processors (1)

1. Digital Delay Line (DDL)

- Signal is stored in RAM buffer and released at a user definable time, from 1 ms to 3999 ms (3.999 sec)

- Often have a feedback circuit where the output is fed back to the input giving us multiple delays (repeats)

2. ADT: Automatic Double Tracking (also called doubling)

- Uses tape delay to create a delayed copy of an audio signal which is then combined with the original signal

- Enhance the sound of voices or instruments during the mixing process

- Delay times are between 15 ~ 35 ms

*'Rich' mean lots of low frequency (in Reverb)

*'Reverse' —> rise up rather than decay (in Gate / Reverb)

[side trip]

1. Marshall & old types of reverb -> 'Spring reverb'

2. Sounds faster if  temperature rise

3. Drink alcohol: make a person to be more consistent to loud sounds
