Sine Wave Oscillator Sweep 20 Hz to 20 kHz
Demonstrates the audible spectrum. Fletcher-Munson’s (equal loudness) research indicates that we are more sensitive to mid frequencies than others. In this demonstration, the middle frequencies indeed will seem louder than others do even though the signal level doesn’t change.
*Note: Your headphones will not reproduce the very lowest and highest frequencies. You should begin to hear sound at 31.5 Hz and continue until about 16 kHz, after which you will probably lose the signal.
