- Transition zone => Direct Sound/Reverb combination

- It’s transiting/changing from Integration to Echo

- These combinations affect the signal envelope (rather than frequency relationships/tonality)

- In general, the effect is a reduction in P/A ratio => this results in a softening of the sound reducing clarity
