Console Patch Points

Multi

- Used to split a signal into multiple outputs

- Any jack is the input and all others become outputs

Serial (in-line) processing

- Signal comes from a channel into a processor and back to the same channel for compression

Parallel (Split) processing

- Signal from a channel to a processor and back to another open channel(s)

Hardwired

- Components are connected with no patching possible

Normal (Signal flow)

- The signal flow of the console components

- No patching is necessary, but it is possible

Full normal (Patch point)

- When patch cord is inserted, it breaks the normal signal flow

- All inputs and returns are full normal

Half normal (patch point)

- When patch cord is inserted, it splits the normal signal flow

- Signals remain on the normal patch as well as in the patch cord, and outputs are 1/2 normal
