Flanging Programs

 

The stereo flange effect produces a pleasant "swirling" sound that can effectively thicken and add warmth to the sound of an instrument. It is produced by varying the amount of delay time between two identical signal.

 

 

Parameters of Flanger

 

1. Pre-Delay

This parameter produces a variety of comb filters by varying the delay time between two identical delay signals

 

2. Depth

This parameter sets the amount of delay time variation, thus adjusting the depth of the effect

 

3. Rate

This parameter sets the speed of modulation, and hence the rate at which the effect varies

 

4. Feedback

This controls the amount of flanged signal that is fed back to the input of the unit. Raising this parameter should increase the depth of the effect.

 

 

*Slow Rate: It sounds a little chorused with ambience and modulation (phase shift)

*Fast Rate: It sounds distorted and dirty
